Malate is also home to educational institutions such as the De La Salle University, St. Scholastica’s College and the Philippine Women’s University. The recreational areas of Rizal Memorial Sports Complex and the Manila Zoo are also located here. There are a host of bars, clubs and restaurants around the Remedios Circle and Adriatico areas with a plethora of live music, discos and local comedy.
